Men are bees
Hopping to and marring
All the dandelions 
They please
Tying
Women,
The dandelions,
To the ground
Their roots digging far
Into their ancestors’ bones 
From habit
As their wispy, frail daughters
Are blown away by
America,
A child,
Always
Blowing away the hopes
And running from the bees,
The men,
Only concern for themselves
