life is a tree-like looking tree

prickly pear and sandy bones the

moon bleeding a grainy milk we’re all

trapped but we don’t even know it

i choke and the luminiferous crescent mocks me

as the tangled woody spires sharpen their terrible spears

we drown in our own snowbroken cries

shadows stifled

i surrender, but what about you?

salty tassels make their way down, down

the sea-spray mingles with our filthy tears

it is sundown but she thinks it could be sunrise
